We offer a dynamic, varied and stimulating program of activity to ensure that all children progress physically through an inspirational, unique and fully inclusive PE curriculum.
We encourage all children to develop their understanding of the way in which they can use their body, equipment and apparatus safely yet imaginatively to achieve their personal goals.
All children have the opportunity to enjoy being physically active, maintain a healthy lifestyle and using the medium of sport, increase their self-esteem. We aspire for children to adopt a positive mind-set and believe that anything can be achieved with determination and resilience.
St. Paul’s takes part in a range of sporting competitions against other schools within the Orchard MAT, including football, girls’ football and tag rugby. These events provide pupils with the opportunity to represent the school, develop teamwork skills and enjoy competitive sport.
The majority of participants come from Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6), although a number of Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) pupils are also involved, gaining valuable experience and developing their confidence in competitive fixtures.
Throughout the year, pupils compete against other Orchard MAT schools in a positive and supportive environment, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship, resilience and determination. These events help to promote physical activity, teamwork and school pride while giving children the chance to develop their sporting skills and represent St Paul’s at a high standard.
