Welcome to Class 2
Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome from Mrs Solway and Miss Reed (2S) and Mrs Hutton (2H).
We have had a wonderful start to the year and are so proud of how well the children have settled into Year 2. They have shown enthusiasm, kindness and a real eagerness to learn, and we are looking forward to another busy and exciting half term ahead.
During the second half of the autumn term, we will be focusing on practising and rehearsing for our Year 2 Nativity, A Rootin’, Tootin’ Nativity. The children will be learning songs, lines and actions and we are sure they will enjoy bringing this wonderful production to life. We look forward to sharing their hard work with you later in the term.
Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Year 2 team.
Kind regards,
Mrs Solway and Miss Reed

Please remember to pack healthy choices for your children. Thank you!
Our P.E. days this term are Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure your child comes into school wearing their P.E. kit on these days.
Homework is given out each Friday and should be returned by the following Friday.
Spellings are sent home each Monday, and the spelling test will take place the following Monday.
We kindly ask that you read with your child as often as possible. Regular reading at home makes a huge difference to children’s confidence, fluency and understanding, and even a few minutes each day can have a significant impact on their progress.
